As part of our full suite of security services Agliant provides external penetration testing services. Our proprietary method of testing encompasses a wide variety of open source tools, custom written scripts and commercial products which have been significantly enhanced by our highly qualified security experts.

How we differ from our competitors.

Our method of scoping external penetration testing engagements provides a high level of value to our customers as we do not merely scope an engagement based on the entirety of a network range provided by the customer. We value quality and believe scoping in such a manner causes two outcomes which we believe reduces value significantly.

1. Scoping primarily on a class or range of ip addresses the potential exists to significantly overcharge our customers for assets which aren't there.

2. Relying on a set of ip addresses extracted from the range which is provided by the customer runs the risk of missing an asset which is resident on the public ip space but is unknown to the customer.

We are under the belief that our customers want to know what t hey do not known and methods are predicate upon a well known industry adage adage. Trust but verify. We trust our clients but we take the time and effort to verify ALL active ip addresses within a given range which will be scoped into our exams COMPLETELY FREE. This phase of any penetration test whether conducted by white hat hackers and/or black hat threat actors alike is referred to the "recon phase"

Once again, our recon phase of an external penetration test is FREE OF CHARGE to you.

During the recon phase ip addresses which are publicly accessible are probed for listening services with responses being recorded and evaluated against common risk trends. With this data we can generate an accurate scope of work which brings you value, tests the right amount of resources and charges you based entirely on what you use and nothing more, nothing less.

Our vast industry exposure and decades of experience have shown us that most vendors do not initiate this recon phase until the scope of work is signed and the project is started. Consistently, this model has proven disadvantageous to customers because by this point the engagement has already been either over charged due to over scoping or undervalued as tools are configured to probe only the ip addresses provided by the sponsor.
